I have never felt better than when eating clean on this [21 Day Transformational Nutrition] cleanse, I lost over 10lbs on the cleanse and have lost an additional 10lbs since with continued clean eating. We found the cleanse really good. It was easy to follow along with. I think if I was to do it again I would have taken a week to do the pre-cleanse week Rebecca talks about to wean us off of the way we were eating as it was quite difficult to go from eating very terribly to so clean. I experienced many benefits throughout the cleanse: from losing weight, to feeling better, no heartburn, more energy and even longer and stronger fingernails. There are some really good recipes in the cleanse, our favourites were the vegetarian chile, the top notch tacos, and the smoothies - so delicious. "The greatest improvement for me in doing this cleanse was the healthy habits I developed. By following the program, it created an awareness as to what I’m putting in my body. As simple as that sounds, it made a big difference! Instead of grabbing the first thing I see when I’m hungry, I take the time and prepare something that will actually make me feel good and not stuffed and bloated. I guess it pretty much helped me not to be lazy. I discovered how easy it is to eat clean, just how do-able it is. And it is so worth it. I had way more sustainable energy. No mid day exhaustion, where I’d usually grab a coffee then crash later on. And I craved sugar way less. I felt better, and that goodness expanded to other areas of my life. I started trying to make decisions in my personal life that would also in-turn keep me feeling good. The program offers ideas such as different physical activities to try, some me-time ideas, journaling prompts and practical meditation and self consciousness. When I started eating gluten and dairy after the cleanse it was really hard on my body. I can’t physically tolerate it. Sugar has been giving me headaches because I’m not used to it, but I’m sure that will change. While I’m not strictly following the program anymore, I am still reading ingredient lists, making substitutions that my body will thank me for, and trying to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. "This cleanse was a very interesting experience for me. In the beginning I didn’t feel that well and I was tired and didn’t have a lot of energy. After the first 3-5 days I started feeling better and had more energy throughout my work day. Before I would buy a lot of food from gas stations [for lunches on my way to work] and would make the excuse that I didn’t have time to make my lunch, even though it would make me feel like crap and I really didn't enjoy the food. After I started the cleanse I found out that I could make my lunches without a lot of hassle and time, and I was able to feel good throughout the day as well as having a clear head to do my job effectively. I did like that I still got to eat meat and the food that I thought I wouldn’t enjoy was very tasty and I could easily eat a lot of the recipes all the time. There was some I didn’t like but not that many. I’m very exited to say that I lost nearly 20 pounds. People say that they see it in my face and neck and because of that I look younger. I lost a little in my belly but that has a little bit more to go lol. I would like to eat this way through my life and keep on eating the things that make me feel good."
