For me, this section has the most to it. I feel like there’s so much involved in the world of Eating Psychology, Transformational Nutrition and living holistically. Eating well, exercising, and learning to meditate are really just the tip of the iceberg so to speak. And living holistically can take on many meanings for different people. Really, for me, all of it points to loving & serving God with all of who I am, and loving & serving others the way He’s calling me to. It’s about stewarding our bodies well, our gifts & talents well, our earth well, and taking care of others well. It’s about understanding that we’re holistic beings – we’re body, mind, soul & spirit, and we need to approach ourselves and others that way. If you want to truly get to the root of something, then all aspects of your life should be looked at. For many of us, there’s a disconnect between what we say we believe, but how we’re actually living, and too often I have to include myself in that! Thankfully it’s a journey in which we get to choose whether or not we progress and begin to fall in line with what we truly believe and continually become more who we were designed to be.
Eating Psychology, Transformational Nutrition and living holistically are about learning to tune into your own body-wisdom, listening to your intuition and what your spirit is speaking, and helping one build a healthy relationship with food & body. They’re about learning to see the mind-body connections and learning new approaches to diet, life, and well-being.
Choosing to understand that we are made holistically and our parts cannot be separated, helps move us forward in the life we desire and the life we’re called to. Because, when we’re missing out on any one of these pieces – body, mind or soul – it creates a suffering in some capacity in the other areas, and then we miss out on who God has truly designed us to be.
How we treat our bodies, how we treat our minds, how we treat our souls, it all matters. How we treat others matters. How we treat our earth matters. To be truly whole & healthy we need to make sure that we are taking care of each part of these, and yes, it can look different for all of us, as we are each uniquely made! But this is where I truly believe that taking a new approach to how we deal with our health concerns, our stress, and our way of living, through the world of Eating Psychology and Transformational Nutrition we can become more of who we’re truly designed to be, body, mind & soul.
